“We are new to East Beaumaris Kinder (EBK) in 2020. Our daughter has already settled in well with her classmates and she loves sharing all of the things they have been learning about. We chose EBK because we wanted to give our daughter the community kinder experience to help prepare her for starting school next year. Even in the midst of the Pandemic going on, there is still a strong sense of community. The commitment and quality of teaching far exceeds my expectations. I would highly recommend EBK to any new family considering to enrol.” – Peggy, King Parrots Parent 2020
“Choosing a kindergarten for our children was a big decision, as it is the beginning of their educational journey. After exploring a number of local kinders, we felt confident that East Beaumaris Kindergarten was the right choice. Our son is excited to go to kinder and both Sam and Kyra have made him feel secure in his new environment. I have also been amazed with the quality of the program, particularly throughout the challenges of 2020.” – Kate, Blue Wrens Parent 2020
“As first time kinder parents we were unsure of what to expect and how our son would settle being away from us for the first time. Sam, the 3 year old Blue Wren Teacher was so knowledgeable and caring toward our son and us with settling into kinder. George had an excellent time at East Beaumaris Kindergarten. He learnt so many skills through the play based learning program, engaged in many activities and developed both socially and emotionally in readiness for starting school at Beaumaris Primary. When I reflect on his learning and look through his portfolios from his kinder years it brings tears to my eyes to see how far he has come and I could not have wished for a better start to his education. As a kinder mum, it is so lovely to build a network with the other kinder parents and the staff and I have made lifelong friends. Our daughter is now in Blue Wrens and I would highly recommend East Beaumaris Kindergarten to families looking for a community kinder with a beautiful sense of community spirit.” – Hayley, Blue Wrens Parent 2020 & Prev. King Parrots Parent
“My son is a King Parrot in the 4 year old program at EBK. We have 4 older children and have experienced many different educational models. This is the first time at community kinder, and we love it. We have lived in our street for 9 years and only knew our neighbours over the fence. Through the kinder we now know lots of kids and families in our street and neighbourhood. Connections that will hopefully carry beyond kinder for our children and for us. Our son says Wominjeka when he sees us, tells us what we should be doing to help our environment and is an advocate for ‘Tina Texta’; who reminds children of the importance of placing the lid on your textas or you will end up with ‘sad textas’. EBK is a beautiful place with fabulous educators which makes us acutely aware of how important early childhood learning is.” – Melissa, King Parrots Parent 2020
“When I enrolled my daughter in three year old kinder I really didn’t know what to expect as I’d had no previous experience of community kindergarten. We had recently moved to a new suburb and didn’t know anyone living in Beaumaris, so it was lovely meeting all the families which were part of the kinder community. The teachers encouraged my daughter’s creativity (she loves craft!) but also supported her to try different activities which helped her confidence when she was doing new things. She is continuing to thrive in the four year old kinder program and comes home with interesting facts, new songs, and all sorts of different things to share with our family after each session.
