Meet Our Team
Tess – King Parrots 4yo Teacher
Tess holds a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and Primary Education and her career started in the primary sector. She taught at Beaumaris North Primary School for 12 years, predominately in the junior grades, with four of those spent teaching Prep which she loved. Time spent teaching Prep PE highlighted for Tess how much children love learning through movement and play and she thoroughly enjoyed being active with the children.
When her eldest daughter started at a local kindergarten, Tess recognised her own desire to teach in a sessional kindergarten setting and she is excited to be part of the East Beaumaris Kindergarten community.
Tess lives locally in Beaumaris with her husband, their two daughters and their energetic kelpie cross, Binky.
“As a family, we love exploring the local suburbs and going on little adventures together. We spend lots of time at the beach, parks, local walking tracks, playing at home, baking and being with family.
As a teacher, I believe children learn best when they feel happy, safe, and connected. I love creating a calm, welcoming environment where children can explore, build confidence, make friendships, and learn through play, conversation, creativity, and curiosity. I also love getting outside with the children, and you may find we have the occasional little dance party too. I grew up locally, so it feels very special to now be teaching kindergarten in this community, and I cannot wait to get to know your children and help them learn and grow throughout the year.”
Grace – Blue Wrens 3yo & King Parrots 4yo Educator
Grace has worked in the education sector for seven years and is passionate about bringing art and nature into the learning spaces. She loves facilitating children’s learning and interests through the creation of engaging experiences that extend children’s interest, curiosity and development. Grace believes that all children have the right to learn in a respectful, nurturing and safe environment so they can thrive!
“During my spare time you will probably find me at the farm, looking after my beautiful old horse, Milla – she’s 31! My hobbies are: crafting, painting, photography, hiking and spending time with my friends and family!”
Reshma – Blue Wrens 3yo & King Parrots 4yo Educator
Reshma holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and during her time in the sector has developed a deep appreciation for the value of natural, play-based learning. She is passionate about supporting children
to build resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of self. As an educator, she strives to create engaging and nurturing environments that inspire curiosity, independence, and those special “I can do it!” moments. Reshma strongly believes that children thrive when there is a genuine and collaborative partnership between families and educators.
“Outside of my role, I enjoy spending time with my own children. As a family, we love travelling and exploring new places. In my quieter moments, I enjoy listening to music and podcasts, as well as reading and writing short stories. I feel truly grateful to be working with children, and I look forward to sharing a joyful and enriching learning journey with your family.”
Kat – Extended Care Educator 3yo & 4yo
